Refill toner (instructions) HP Q2612A, HP 1010, 1012, 1015
Filling the cartridges HP-Q2612A,
Take the HP cartridge out of your printer and place it in front of you on your work surface. To fill the toner cartridge, you need a filling opening on the back of the cartridge (Figure 1). You need a soldering iron to burn in the filler opening. This should melt a filling hole in the cartridge with a diameter of approx. 12mm (Figure 2). When you have melted the filler opening into the HP 1010, 1012, 1015 toner cartridge, you should neatly deburr the area. This is necessary so that the fabric adhesive tape sticks and does not come off after filling.
When you have deburred the filler opening, you should remove the waste toner from the cartridge. Since the new toner powder and the old waste toner have different physical properties, this can lead to the formation of lumps. This can range from insufficient print results to damage to the interior of the cartridge. Vacuum the waste toner or shake the cartridge into a tight plastic bag. When you have removed the waste toner, you can begin refilling.
Filling the HP-Q2612A toner cartridge Take the bottle with the refill toner and screw a refill funnel onto it. The funnel allows you to fill in the toner powder much more precisely. Put the toner powder in the cartridge (Figure 3). Distribute the toner powder in the toner cartridge with slight swivel movements. This will get all of the toner powder in. When you have filled the HP 1022 N, 1022NW, 3020 toner cartridge, you must close the filler opening again. To do this, cut off an appropriately sized piece of fabric adhesive tape and stick it on the filling opening (Figure 4).
Important: Make sure that the fabric tape is absolutely tight. No toner powder should trickle out of the cartridge. Shake the toner cartridge over a piece of white paper and check that it is tight. Your toner cartridge is refilled and you can put it back in the printer. Do not look closely at the first few pages because the toner powder will have to redistribute. Your printouts will then be of the usual quality again.
Safety note for handling refill toner: Refill toner and toner powder can be harmful to health if improperly handled. We expressly recommend the use of respiratory protection equipment or suction chambers when filling toner cartridges. In addition, toner powder and refill toner can be extremely flammable with an appropriate oxygen mixture. Also, be careful not to touch the photoconductor drum or expose it to direct sunlight. This can lead to incorrect printouts. Eurotone assumes no responsibility for the success or failure of the procedure described.
