Reset Instructions for Brother TN 2220 Toner

Your step-by-step guide on how to reset your Brother TN-2220

The Brother TN-2220 toner fits into many Brother printer models and can be reset with no problems. The Brother TN-2220 Toner Reset restarts the toner detection and resets the page counter.

The following instructions should be followed when performing a toner reset on the printer!

Instructions:
1. Turn off your device
2. Open the front flap
3. Press and hold the GO button
4. Turn on the printer
5. Press and hold the GO button
6. The TONER / DRUM / ERROR LEDs light up
7. Release the GO button
8. The LEDs go out
9. Press the GO button twice quickly
10. The TONER / DRUM / ERROR LEDs light up again
11. Choose your toner:
12. Press the GO button 5 times for starter toner
13. Press the GO button 6 times for Standard Toner
14. Press the GO button 7 times for jumbo toner
15. Close the front door of your printer

You have successfully reset the original or compatible Brother TN-2220 toner.

Brother TN-2220 Toner Reset for Brother MFC devices

For a manual toner reset for Brother MFC devices, please proceed exactly as follows

Instructions:
1. Turn on the printer
2. Open the front flap
3. Press the CANCEL button once
4. "Replace drum?" 1. YES 2. NO
5. If you don't select anything, go to the next step
6. Press the asterisk key "*"
7. Press the 0 button twice in succession
8. Close the front door

Brother TN-2220 Toner Reset for Brother DCP devices

For a manual toner reset for Brother DCP devices, please proceed exactly as follows

1. Turn on your device
2. Open the front flap
3. Press the CANCEL button 1x
4. The message "Replace drum?" 1. YES 2. NO
5. If you don't select anything, just continue with the next point
6. Press the START button and use the arrow buttons ▼ ▲ until "00" appears
7. Press the OK button
8. Close the front door
