Xerox drums for your laser printer

Xerox laser printers have a long and successful history. After all, the company invented laser printing technology with xerography. Many reliable printers have been developed by Xerox.

If you have a Xerox laser printer in your company and use it to print business mail, you will need both high quality Xerox toner and drums on a regular basis. You can buy these consumables here at Eurotone at an affordable price.

What makes the Xerox imaging drums different from other manufacturers?

Xerox uses a variety of imaging drums for its laser printers. Some of the drums are tubular. The exposed imaging drum is in a plastic holder. On one side there is a traction drive with which the drum can be set in motion. There are also closed plastic housings in which the drum is kept protected. Lateral plastic recesses ensure that the drum can be safely inserted into the printer mount. Some Xerox laser printers also require round and elongated drum cases, but they are completely enclosed. There are also rectangular housings with the drum exposed in the rear area.

The color laser printers from Xerox are special. They require a separate image drum for each printing color: black, cyan, magenta and yellow. Here, too, are tubular, closed models that simply have to be inserted into the receiving slot. Note that the Xerox imaging drum does not contain toner. This can be purchased separately using our Xerox toner cartridges.

The Xerox imaging drum is explained as follows: The Xerox drum consists of a sturdy aluminum tube that is coated with a photoconductive layer. Each drum is located in a plastic housing and is driven laterally via gear wheels. The surface of the imaging drum is electrostatically charged with a charging corona. With the help of a laser or a powerful LED, the subsequent print image is projected onto the drum. All unneeded areas and print areas are deleted. The fine toner powder adheres to the imaging drum when it is rotated again. The print image only reaches the paper with the help of the transfer unit and, if necessary, a transfer ribbon. At the same time, the image drum is erased again and excess toner powder is directed into the waste toner container via a scraper. The fusing unit ensures that the fresh toner powder is permanently bonded to the paper. It consists of a heating roller and a rubberized pressure roller.

You can also feel this process when you take the still warm printer paper out of the printer slot. This gives you a smudge-proof and waterproof printout. Then the whole process is repeated when printing the next page. In contrast to an inkjet printer, a laser printer always prints out one page completely. This is why these devices are also known as page printers.

What advantages do the compatible Samsung drums from Eurotone offer?

If your Xerox printer indicates a drum change and refuses to continue printing, it is not necessary to install an original drum. Our compatible Xerox imaging drums are 100% compatible with your printer. You don't have to expect any restrictions in terms of print range or print quality. These models were developed precisely for this purpose. The compatible Xerox imaging drums are delivered in an almost neutral cardboard packaging. For environmental reasons, we do not use colorful, high-gloss packaging. Nevertheless, you will find all the important information here. However, you should only open the package if you intend to use the Xerox imaging drum directly.

Even if the original and compatible Xerox drums are packed in a light-tight film to be on the safe side, it should not be forgotten that the image drum is very light-sensitive. The low price of the compatible models is one of the main advantages. Your Xerox printer is also covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Our Xerox imaging drums are guaranteed for up to 2 years. If you are still not satisfied with the drum, you have the option of a 14-day right of return.
